Country Education Foundation of Australia (CEF) has a proud new premise of its own, due to a surprising anonymous donation to the education charity.

The remarkable donor support has secured the outright purchase of a small business property in Orange, New South Wales.

This will house the organisation’s head office team – and like-minded tenants – to serve as a sustainable investment for the organisation moving forward.

“We are profoundly grateful to our anonymous supporter who shares our values and aspirations for young Australians, in furthering their education with all the challenges facing country communities,” said CEF Chairman Nick Burton Taylor.

“Investing in our future allows us to invest in theirs and helps secure the viability of smaller country communities.”

This boosts the enthusiastic fundraising efforts of the 44 CEF volunteer-led organisations and its operational management; and comes as part of a wave of milestone achievement for the charity education organisation. Read more

The recent launch of the Warracknabeal foundation creates a new presence in Victoria, growing the CEF footprint to span into five Australian states and territories.

The formal Country Education Foundation of Australia head office launch will take place in October 2019.
