CEF partners with Kennards Hire Foundation for expansion into WA

With the Kennards Hire Foundation’s generous support over a three year period, CEF is set to establish new local foundations in identified communities across the state, bringing its proven model of community-based support to even more locations to support young people in accessing further education and training.

CEF CEO, Wendy Mason, says the partnership is pivotal to CEF’s work to grow the organisation’s impact across the country.

The partnership will fund the establishment of new local foundations in identified communities in WA – volunteer-run foundations that provide financial assistance, mentoring, and encouragement to students pursuing university, vocational training or other post-school education pathways.

“Our grassroots, community-driven model is extremely unique. We understand that each regional community, and even state, has its own unique challenges, especially for those local youth pursuing further education and training. It means that a community can deliver support that best suits their cohort of young people,” Ms Mason finishes.

The expansion efforts reflect CEF’s long-standing commitment to educational attainment by regional youth and the belief that young people from across regional Australia deserve the chance to thrive.
