Youth Week events are running right now Statewide in NSW until 18 April 2019 with over 900 events planned that are set to attract over 100,000 young people.
If you’re aged between 12 and 25, Youth Week is a great opportunity to share ideas, attend live events, have your voice heard on issues of concern to you, showcase your talents, celebrate your contribution to the community, take part in competitions and !
This year’s theme is ‘Coming Together to Connect, Share, Speak out and Celebrate’. The list of events in Country Education Foundation footprint NSW communities is certainly extensive, which is great to see!

Youth Week Film Festival: Drought Relief Fundraiser

A family friendly event brought to you by the Gunnedah Youth Council, the GYC Drought Relief Film Festival Fundraiser will be an opportunity to get behind young regional film makers of the future and support local drought relief fundraising efforts! Proceeds go to Buy-a-bale.
Youth Leading The World Community Forum

Come and be part of a vision for a more sustainable Gunnedah Shire with the Youth Leading The World Community Forum! Youth Leading The World (YLTW) is a global sustainability movement started by OzGreen, that young people of the Gunnedah Shire are part of. Hosted by members of the Gunnedah Youth Council (GYC), this event allows for us all to be part of the solution to many sustainability issues in the region. There will be finger food, guest speakers, and some interactive activities to get people thinking. Free event, all are welcome! Come be part of this great event!

Inflatable attractions will include a giant obstacle course, A Jurassic Adventure, a volleyball court, and a mechanical bull. A sausage sizzle lunch will also be included. The Yoga Tree will be conducting a class at 10.30 and The Hard Rock Gym will be running a Boxing Fitness class shortly after. There is plenty of room for a bit of touch, and small sided soccer games.
