University of Sydney Gap Year Research Project

By September 2, 2019January 18th, 2021No Comments

Have you taken a gap year?  Did you complete your HSC in a regional area?
If you answered ‘yes’ to both these questions, read on!

The University of Sydney is leading a research project to develop and evaluate free and non-branded information resources to help people decide about taking a gap year. A ‘gap year’ means taking a year ‘off study’ between the end of high school and starting university.  If you completed Year 12 in a regional area and have experienced a gap year … the research team are interested to hear what you have to say.

Would you consider volunteering to participate in a 20-30 minute focus group for this research project? If so, please read the information sheet and consent form. If you are interested in participating, please email [email protected] before 27 September 2019 to organise a focus group time and location that will suit you.  If you are unable to attend any of the planned focus groups because of distance, Sam can also negotiate a focus group using Zoom software https://www.zoom.us.

If you have any questions about the focus groups please contact Samantha McMahon ([email protected], +61 2 8627 5137).  Additional information and contact details for the study are provided in the Participant Information Sheet.

Thank you!
