Alice Sharpe is a third year Science student at Monash University in Melbourne.
Originally from Deniliquin, Alice became interested in science in high school, and is now majoring in genetics and molecular biology.
Receiving a grant from the Edward River Country Education Foundation has allowed Alice to live on campus and helped smooth the transition when moving from a small country town to a new city.
Alice has achieved academic greatness in her course and is ranked within the top ten of her class, receiving letters of commendation from her teachers.
Due to her hard work, Alice has recently been chosen from 150 applicants into a six-week program at the prestigious Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, in the Cancer Genetics Laboratory.
Well done Alice! We look forward to hearing your updates.
