ABOUT 'MAKE IT POSSIBLE'

WE’VE DONE THE GOOGLING AND CALLED IN THE EXPERTS – PEEPS WHO WERE ONCE IN YOUR SHOES.

So, you have finished those exams, taken that gap year or are ready for the workforce… or maybe even more study!

There are so many things to take into consideration.

If you are from rural and regional Australia, there is even more to think about. How will you manage financially? How far will you need to move away from home? Do you feel like you need to stay home to help the folks out?

Trying to wade through all the information available to you about your options can be overwhelming and completely confusing.

And then figuring out how you are going to make things happen can seem almost impossible – finances, study, accommodation, living expenses…. Cooking and cleaning!

We understand. And we have your back, Jack!

THIS HUB IS DESIGNED TO GET YOU THINKING AND GUIDE YOU AS YOU TAKE YOUR NEXT STEPS.

Make it Possible is a one-stop-shop to help you as you navigate education after school. From deciding what you want to do right through to how to survive your first year in ‘the real world.’

At the top of every page is a sticky menu that links you to all the main pages of the resource. And below, just click on the box with the topic you are looking for help on… And if you need all the advice you can get, there is a box for that too!

Sign up for our mailing list so we can let you know when awesome new videos from CEF alumni and students are posted, and when we find new information we think will help.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE

Have you ever started to think about what you might do after school and how you are going to survive, and then been so bamboozled by the information out there you put it in the ‘too hard basket’? Us too.

We have tried to do all the hard work for you.

When it comes to post-school education for students from the country, what you find can be a little confusing, and the important things relevant to you can get lost in a sea of information. This resource is designed to collect all that information in one place, so you can find the help you need – whether you need advice on how to make your decision or what financial support is available.

And we know that once you have made the decision, how to function as an adult and thrive in the real world can be pretty difficult, so we have tired to help you out with that too. With information to help with living, maintaining your health, the basics of being an adult and more!

We have also worked with some of our fantastic partners who are experts on rural and regional education and other options for after school to provide great tips and resources all at your fingertips.

The site is simple to use, and you can read it all or pick and choose just the stuff you need – it’s all signposted and linked for easy-peasy navigation. And it starts with two sections:

  • GET INSPIRED – ASPIRING STUDENTS
