The Hon Tim Fischer AC, former Deputy Prime Minister, entertained guests with his tales from the Vatican City
CEF friends and supporters, grant recipients and volunteers all came together at the Mitchell Library in Sydney in June for the inaugural CEF Friends’ Lunch, welcoming The Hon Tim Fischer AC, former Deputy Prime Minister, to the role of CEF Patron.
Guests enjoyed anectdotes from Tim’s time as Australian Ambassador to the Holy See in Rome and the heartwarming and inspiring stories from past and present grant recipients Rhys Gard (Narrabri CEF) and Sophie Johnston (Shoalhaven CEF).
Rhys has gone ahead in leaps and bounds and is now working as co-editor for a Sydney food website while Sophie Johnston is just starting out, studying Arts at the University of NSW.
