Marie Bashir AC CVO at the Edward River fundraising dinner
The CEF Edward River annual fundraising dinner is over for another year and we’re pleased to report it was a roaring success!
Over 170 people turned out for the 2013 Edward River fundraiser, enjoying an evening of great food and wine at the Deniliquin RSL. Special guests for the evening included CEF Ambassador, The Hon Tim Fischer AC and Marie Bashir AC CVO, Governor of NSW, who spoke passionately about the importance of education and seeing young people get the right opportunity to excel in their educational pursuits.
The evening provided an opportunity for past scholarship recipients to speak about their experiences and how CEF Edward River has helped them towards reaching their educational goals.
Thank you to all who attended and to the businesses who supported the evening with sponsorship and auction items. Nearly $5,000 was raised to help future students from the Edward River region.
