Wallace Dunsdon was no ordinary young man – he was a go getter with an exceptional work ethic that excelled at almost everything that he put his hands and heart behind. He had a passion for life, his networks and most importantly agriculture. Wal was tragically taken from us in 2017 at the ripe age of 30. In his short life, he excelled in many areas and was the recipient of a number of incredible educational and agricultural scholarships, all due to his can-do attitude, sharp mind and passion for agriculture.
After successfully taking up a number of agribusiness opportunities across NSW and QLD, he couldn’t deny his want to come back to the family farming enterprise in Cunnamulla South West Queensland and continue his passion alongside his family.
The Wal Dunsdon Memorial Scholarship was established in 2018 to continue the legacy of Wal and everything that he stood for while supporting more youth aspiring to seek tertiary education in agriculture. The hope is to ensure passion like Wal’s is encouraged in future generations and brought back into Regional Queensland.
