Rural communities are hurting – help us look beyond the drought

By September 27, 2018October 2nd, 2018No Comments

We need your help. As you know, the worst drought in living memory continues to grip eastern Australia. Many rural communities are struggling to cope and asking questions about the future.

With household budgets squeezed, there is a danger that some families will delay or abandon sending their children to university or TAFE because of the prohibitive cost.

The Country Education Foundation (CEF) believes that when times are tough it is even more crucial to invest in the future through education and is working to support families to continue to do so.

You can help by telling us your story – how has the drought impacted your family? How helpful was your grant or scholarship in the context of drought? What doors has it opened? What difference has it made?

To help us here’s what you can do… Fill out our short Drought Survey below.

Stories like yours will help us design future assistance and convince donors and governments to support families beyond the drought. Your responses will remain confidential.

Thank you for your time.
