AuctionsPlus has announced a new partnership with Country Education Foundation of Australia (CEF) as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting Australian communities.
AuctionsPlus is an independent digital trading platform that offers the greatest access of information and choice to the agricultural community. It has evolved over 30 years to become Australia’s single biggest marketplace selling more livestock than any other in the country.
Vision: a thriving agricultural community, where business prospers.
A national for-purpose organisation dedicated to empowering rural and regional youth in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities, CEF awarded over 650 grants and scholarships to the value of $2,000,134 in 2022 to support emerging talented young people living in rural Australia.
According to the National Regional, Rural and Remote Tertiary Education Strategy Final report, regional Australians are less than half as likely to obtain a degree by the time they are 35 (this discrepancy can be attributed to various factors), compared to their metropolitan counterparts.
With this considered, together with the gap in post-school qualification attainment rates, supporting regional youth to overcome the unique and complex challenges they face and unlock their full potential is vital.
With a shared passion for empowering the next generation, AuctionsPlus Chief Executive Officer Wyn Snyman said the partnership between the two organisations will provide a range of new opportunities for rural youth.
AuctionsPlus is thrilled to be partnering with an organisation that has such a significant impact on the future of ambitious young people living in rural Australia.

“We’re committed to supporting our community and this includes the next generation of the industry as well”.
“Together, CEF and AuctionsPlus aim to create a brighter and more promising future for the talented young people from the bush, and we would love our AuctionsPlus community, partners and supporters to join us on this journey.”
CEF Chief Executive Officer, Juliet Petersen, echoed Mr Snyman’s excitement around the venture.
“We’re so excited to welcome AuctionsPlus on board as our new partner, being such an integral part of rural and regional businesses across Australia,” Mrs Petersen said.
As an organisation, we look forward to empowering even more rural and regional youth to access our services and resources as a direct result of this new partnership.

“Enabling the next generation to reach their full potential forms part of our key mission here at CEF, and we think this is a huge leap forward in achieving this.”
As well as other initiatives to be announced in the coming months, the partnership will see a special charity auction hosted on the AuctionsPlus platform in early 2024 to raise funds for CEF grant and scholarship recipients.
Running over the course of a week between 11-15 March and culminating with the launch of CEF’s inaugural annual fundraising day, the auction will feature a diverse range of items donated by both AuctionsPlus and supporters of CEF. More information, including the full auction catalogue, will be released closer to the date.
In FY23, AuctionsPlus hosted 26 charity auctions on its platform, raising over half a million dollars for a broad range of not-for-profit organisations with links to rural Australia.
